My bf and I watched this video
And that's when I realised a friend of mine has used a variation of that phrase several times, both with my bf and with me. Each time I've responded with "That's because he is a man", but perhaps that's not enough. What should I be saying? He's the first ts she's ever met, so I imagine she's trying to be accepting...
