This was right on for me last week, and I know written for me.

I did pick, and I know the estranged Ex I became caretaker for will survive. I met with old friends and business associates last week who wiped the mud from my glasses. They offered suggestions, questions and words of advice, which in my rush to "save another's life", I had been closed to. I was asked ~ "How would you feel if you learned that you absolutely could not rescue her? She will not change, no matter what you want or do."

Utterly powerless shot into me like an arrow from my childhood. So, for today it seems like I found a big bottle, a big spoon and am ready to swig the medicine with lots of sugar. They offered to help in emergencies.
