Female to Male (FTM) in Film Narrative: Gender Passing and the Re-Creation of Brandon Teena
now that is a heady title and yes it is my dissertation aka manuscript, I'm rereading it to see where I can cut/enhance/proof (again)  before sending it to a publisher. Basically it revolves around how the media co-opts BT for their own agendas. As well as a discussion of who has the right to speak for the Trans community. I cover FTM films up to Albert Nobbs (which I haven't seen yet, waiting for the dvd) and will add it to my manuscript.
