Happy New Year, BFP!

on New Years Eve, my parents would take out one coin for everyone in the family. They would mark each coin with nail polish so it was easily recognized. They put these coins outside on the window sill so that as the new year spirit moved in, it would bless the coins on its way in. As long as we kept sacred those coins and did not spend them, we were promised to always have the money we needed.

I have done this faithfully ever since they passed. and I have been SO close to homelessness and financial disparity but I ALWAYS survived and had just enuf to live on somehow.

I wish all of you a Happy New Years and hope you will put out a coin so that the new spirit of the year can safeguard you as well...
