Thanks! I'm outside of Roanoke, so southwestern part of Virginia. Virginia is beautiful, mountainous, and usually mild in climate. Of course living in the South has it's drawbacks, but truly for a southern area this is a very accepting area. Oddly there is a very high gay population as well, so that's a nice touch. Definitely worth the trip for those that have never been here.

I've been to Texas, but only 1 time several years ago. I was visiting a friend in Paris and stayed for about a week. It was not a very welcoming area, so I've just never been back. I did spend awhile traveling and sight seeing after I left her place and truly enjoyed the trip. I have to say that I wish we had a local barbecue shack around here, as she had near her house.
