I get what you mean. Sewer rats are vicious but pet rats are not. But on the other hand, if you don't fear rats then a sewer rat might not be vicious; and if you fear rats, a pet rat might be vicious. Unless, of course, you don't give a rat's ass what others think or whether they understand what you're talking about.
