Today marks 3 months and 23 days since I moved to my new home and although I still have boxes yet to unpack (I had a lot of stuff !!
), I am feeling a sense of accomplishment that I managed to leave a really bad neighborhood behind, when I didn't think I'd have the nerve to do it.Sometimes, as one nears an elderly type age, it's not easy to pick up and start over. I used to do it all the time, move to new places, just to enjoy new surroundings. Moving last June was the best thing I've done in years, so I feel a big sense of accomplishment over doing just that (moving to a safer neighborhood). Depending on what happens next year, I may move yet again.
