How about that beautiful Yellow tie that Governor Cuomo wore this morning during his latest press conference on covid 19?
"Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'round an old Oak tree" is what came to mind, while he was teaching the public with down-to-earth language and useful comparisons on the desperate need for hospital's and medical professional needs (ventilators, PPE, the need for volunteers) and his compelling case for everyone to come together and share resources (unity through crisis). His compelling delivery was richly laced with metaphor, to help people grasp the gravity of the situation unfolding in NYC and the entire state of New York. It appears that Covid-19 will eclipse 9/11 and other social crises previously recorded and experienced in history.
