I absolutely agree about the great loss of Ennio Morricone.
Not only did he write the score for those wonderful, memorable Westerns but much much more. My own favourite is the score of The Mission...hauntingly beautiful ... often soothing and threatening within one scene...I think that was his specialty...lol
