Love is....letting them have the last piece of pizza even if you are still a little hungry....giving them the remote even though you don't like the show you know they will put it on....not saying anything as they loudly warble badly mangled tunes in the car....listening to them as they ramble through 1000 topics to get to the one you asked a question about 10 minutes ago and love is feeling your heart fill up and runneth over as you watch them sleep, breathing in and out, and wondering how it was that you are so lucky to have been the one that they chose.
Love, the noun, is out of our control but love, the verb, is a choice. One that is continually made, over and over, day in and day out. |
