When I started to watch the video I found it very familiar for some reason. The first reference to the area was Fogbuster Coffee which is maybe 20 miles from my house. Now in country speak, 20 miles is next door and not considered a day trip by city life.
I do live in the middle of the woods also but I am not off grid. I have a couple wood stoves in the house and run one of them often in the winter for supplemental heat. I will also do some butch cookery on them when inclined. That video is how I grew up and after traveling the country for work, how I retired.
