Really enjoying all the varied, nice shots here.

I got a Nikon D90 and a few lenses last year and have been loving the learning process. Just recently took a Night Photography class in Pt. Reyes and learned a lot about long exposure shooting.

I only shoot digital, love Photoshop and am color blind. (go figure) Of particular interest for my shots are sculpture (especially strong winged female figures) and architecture (especially greek/roman). I've been playing a lot with cross processing/texture lately:

these are really lovely images! the process work is pretty cool. i haven't gotten that far yet myself.

personally, i love shooting in nyc for architecture and street shots. cali is nice for scenery and i love the desert for anything. night photography is fun, if challenging. i've been spending time shooting lightning and clouds lately. i'll be spending some time on portraits soon and maybe a little kink/fetish stuff.

Well, I don't know about lovely, but I'll take the compliment, lol. Really like your latest lightening shots. Did you bracket your shots to get those? I'd think it would be hard to get the timing unless you were shooting multiple exposures. Nice work!

lovely is in the eye of the beholder, no?

i don't generally bracket my shots...most all my lightning stuff is handheld. timing does help, but using the bulb setting ups my chances for good shots.

i just got a D3100 and i'm considering switching it out for the D90--the D3100 doesn't have bracketing but i'm wondering, do you use bracketing for your HDR or ...?

I have a D40, love it and all lenses are interchangeable.

same with the d90.. with the d3100 i don't get bracketing and can only use the af lenses. but.. i do get 14 megapixies --i think it's not worth the 2 extra megapixel for me, right now--i can look to upgrade in a few years (vs. spending 1500 on the new D7000)

ez's gonna kill me because all this is going to mean a re-purchase. eeps!
