Jo's Kitchen (and yes, the coffee IS on...)

good morning kitcheneers....another beautiful day here in south florida

Jake....i use old age as an excuse more often than not....seems to work well most of time..*chuckles* that would be cool if we could all meet up at end of month...maybe talk to JO...she is a genius at finding low airfares--just ask Zimmy...as i recall she found a great rate for her to fly clear from other side of country back home to florida

my honey is fixing lasagna for dinner...i'll have her fix enough for everybody....maybe a nice green salad,some mozzarella cheese bread as well....did i mention she is an awesome cook?

ok i guess i need to get back to work....hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

Are you sucking up after sharing my "less than ladylike" behavior with our friends?

Good evening everyone and there's plenty of lasagna left over, so that's what we're having tonight.

It has been busy, with lots of adjustments, but overall we're getting it sorted out on the important stuff. The boys are getting along as well as two teenage boys can (which means flying objects and fart jokes mixed in with the companionable silences and real conversations.) We've lost two cats in the move (one still in NY and one shortly after we got here)...but the remaining critters are settling in well. And, even though annoyingly slow, we're actually making progress on the house.

Sanibel and Captiva were beautiful...and I loved seeing the dolphins and manatees...wading out waist deep into the gulf to hunt for shells. And...bulging neck veins aside...I didn't jump over the front desk and slap the clerk (richly deserved and ooooooooohhhhhh so tempting)...so I did good!

Absolutely can't wait to meet you MStar and Jake....and I'm happy to help research airfares if needed. And I hope things work out in the family Zimmy...that kind of thing is so hard to take. It always amazes me how many people don't think of their children first.

Rooster is going to be stealing my laptop soon...but I'll try to do better at dropping in!

Hi Jo ... I can not wait to meet you and scoote too.. ah yes... I hear you are the guru of airfare.. grins.. My girl actually found a pretty decent rate through.. JetBlue.. it just amazes Me though the amount they charge when you want to fly down just for a couple of days and right back.. it is actually cheaper to stay longer.. and if I could.. I would indeed.. and get on that big ship with My girl.. smiles..

I am glad things are starting to settle down for you and scoote and the kids.. as much as you can be settled down right now..

Jake buddy come on in the kitchen and cut this thing before i dive into it....lol and if we arent careful there might be a chocolate thief on a coming thru...no worries tho i have set up curbs everywhere so she may steal the chocolate,but we wil get a show for it *grabbing baidaids and first aid spray*

scoote.. laughs.. you know .. you and I both laugh and chuckle about the "old age" thing.. however, the scary part it.. it is so very true. It is like when you first get up in the morning.. and all those aches and pains.. from sleeping in one position all night.. start to pop and snap.. laughs.. ah well.. you know in the grand scheme of things. .. we could all be much worse off.. yes? smiles.
