I don't usually have much of a sweet tooth (I prefer salty stuff), but when I was a kid, Mother used to get these things and make the desert recipe on the back of the bag. It was a popular favorite at the church pot lucks. I would snag 'em behind her back. Jeez, are they ever *sweet*, so I couldn't eat many of them at a time.
 When we'd go to the movies, my sister and I would always get a box of these:  Funny, but both of these are now considered "vintage candies". .gif "Say What?") ~Theo~

I soooo miss these....
 I haven't had one since about 8 years old...and when we went to the only candy store/gas station in town, I would go with a mission!! To get 2 of those and I wouldn't BUDGE till my step dad gave in! and my long time favorite...  I have a HUGE sweet tooth... but finding my favorites is certainly a treat and is often associated with a very fond memory. |

Being from the Chicagoland area, Fannie May has always been one of my favorites, particularly Vanilla Buttercreams. No one else's are the same!
 Every Easter we would get a Fannie May solid chocolate bunny and a few cream eggs. They were huge and so good. I was last in Chicago in January and bought numerous vanilla buttercream hearts.  These are hard to find, and I am not supposed to eat them as I have developed an allergy to peanut butter but I still eat them anyways.  Cherry was my favorite. I liked them simply because they fizz.
