For my dearest Jess, know that I wish I were home during this most difficult time. I hope that your family can find some peace in the process of letting go and that even though you all just want more time, that its not drawn out in unnecessary suffering.

For Uncle Doug, know that as you move from the world to the next, you've been loved and I am most grateful to have had even the shortest of time with you. When I can dill pickles next summer, I'll remember your tips and tricks and wish you were here to show me just how its supposed to be done.

Thank you beloved. We are all exactly where we need to be, even when we may wish otherwise. He has always been my favorite Uncle and has been a gift to know. BTW, I know where my crazy eyebrows came from without a doubt. I will wear my third generation ( Grandpa,Uncle Doug, Me) overalls with even more pride.
