Years And Miles

When I think of you I come alive
Some of those thoughts help me survive
Another time another place as I go back
Wondering how long I'll walk that track
Years and miles the distance has grown
But our two hearts have always known
About those words we no longer speak
Because neither of us want to be caught weak
Communication we can share
Anything else we don't dare
Mental maps drawn long ago
In my mind sometimes they show
Thankful for the memories I hold
A lost love story that did unfold
I'll take the happy with the sad
For whatever time we once had
