The common cold seems so uncommon when my head becomes a soggy wet roll of tissue and my throat is cactus lined as my lungs express their desire to expand. Home alone with a nasty nasty cold: having tea with honey, cinnamon toast, Ibuprufen, and using that gross Nettimed thing and squirting that water up my nose so I can breathe.

I have slept for 3 days.Too sick to care, to sick to go to work.

My head exploded into several galaxies during the night, so I guess, I feel better. Is 4 days too long to wait to get better, or time to go to a doctor.? What would a doctor do that cinnamon toast can't take care of.

A doctor can do nothing for a common cold as it is a virus. The only thing that can be done is to treat the symptoms that befall the sufferer, like the stuffy nose, coughing, and head pressure ; all treatable by over the counter cold medicine, not antibiotics. I hope this helps.
