Today I come here and selfishly ask for prayers for myself
I've been having a rough couple of days
I'm feeling defeated when it comes to finding work
It's really playing on my mental health
Where I used to be strong and confident
I feel myself letting tears flow a lot lately
I still have my faith and belief in God
I worry for my cats if I don't find something soon
I have a deadline of Jan 1st
Even if I get work, I don't think I'll afford a place by then
Really looking for miracles here or a fairy godmother

I just heard on the news that Aretha Franklin has pancreatic cancer. I will light a candle and pray for her.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers, thoughts and well wishes for little Ivan.

I took Ivan to the veterinarian's office and he has a case of intestinal parasites. I guess frogs, even ones bred and raised in captivity, can tend to get a wide assortment of nematodes, protozoans, and trimatodes in their intestines. Anyway, it is treatable and I have a worming medication and an antibiotic for Ivan that should do the trick to get rid of the problem. The only hitch is that I have to get a small tuberculin syringe into his mouth to dispense about 1/10th of a cc of medicine. I have to do this for 5 days running and I have the other medication to put in his mouth every 2 weeks for 6 weeks. This should get rid of the worms. I never thought I'd be worming a frog.

Ivan should soon be on the mend and back to singing for crickets....and Myra.

For those out there that sent me good wishes and chicken soup thoughts.

Thanks Starbuck. She actually did do something for me. Gave me a prescription for meds. The chest cough improved over night. The OTC's I was taking for 3 days weren't touching it. Now , just a matter of letting it run it's course and not turn into pneumonia.

Also got a flu shot, and a note not to return to work till next week.

Today I ask for candles to be lit for a friend of Mine who passed away yesterday. Police found her dead in her apartment yesterday morning and are still investigating the cause of her death. I wasn't terribly close to her but I still am shocked and saddened by this tragedy. One of My best friends was closer to her and is terribly shaken up by this (as are many of us who knew her). Please keep her as well as us in your thoughts & prayers today thank you

I'm lighting a candle for my neighbor, Martha, who told me this morning that her husband is leaving her (and their 3 children, all under 12) for a younger woman.
