This is another reason to consider Ocean kayaks and the like. These kayaks have last 12 plus year so far being in the ocean, sun, dragged across the road, you name it. They may not be a good choice for winter northern kayakers because they are open and you will get wet but great for southern summer kayaking. Thanks for the thread
