Jo's Kitchen (and yes, the coffee IS on...)

(((((( Zimmy ))))))....that just stinks honey...I know how much you wanted that job. Once you get moved back to Orlando it'll be better, I'm sure. This sounds crazy, but have you applied at Disney? They have bazillions of retail positions in the parks...

I'm putting on a big pot of coffee....and I think we need this for breakfast today to make ourselves feel better...



Things are going well for me...busy, but good. I did have one bummer bit yesterday. My awesome, amazing, knows everything in the project management world mentor has resigned, so that's the end of our sessions. I feel totally grateful for having had her ear and advice for a year and I've learned an amazing amount, but I know there was a lot more brain there for me to pick still. Sigh... I know she's been mega-stressed and unhappy there for awhile though, so it's best for her, no doubt, and I wish her all the best. Some other company will be very lucky to get her.

My mother arrives for a short visit on Saturday evening *stress*....not sure what we're going to do while she's here. Normally she's incredibly active but her health has been suffering, and I'm only now learning the extent of it (as she realizes she can't keep lying to me when I'll be seeing her so soon). All I can say is poor Scoote and the Prince...they have no idea what they're in for.

Time for me to deliver the Rooster to school....hope you all have a wonderful day!

I have been looking at Universal Studios and Dusney. I think once I move to Orlando, it will be easier to find a job. I called the Vera recruiter back yesterday and left her a message. I still can't understand how you could interview everyone in one day and make your final decision in two days. That is why I still have hope for that job. I had a phone interview on Monday with Harry and David chocolate store. I am hoping with my experience at Godiva, will help me with that. I am still considering taking my bachelor's degree off of my resume.

If you and the family feel up to it, maybe we can have brunch at The Cheesecake Factory in Orlando on Sunday?

Hey Zimmy,

Hope the moving goes well...I have my fingers crossed for you on the job too...and that everything goes smoothly!

We won't be able to do this Sunday, because my mother is arriving Saturday night for a short visit. Not sure what she's going to be up to, because her health has been pretty bad lately.

I'd love to take a raincheck and do it another Sunday though.
First, because I'd like to catch up with you again, and second because I adore the Cheesecake Factory and didn't know they did brunch!!! How was this secret kept from me all these years???

Putting the extra big pot of extra strong coffee on to help Zimmy with her move....and good morning to everyone who pops in!

Good Morning JO and everyone else!! It has been a cleaning weekend so far my gf and I are cleaning up everything in time for Pesach (passover) sooo it has been busy. We ae planning some things to do too to have some fun later on in the weekend. Have fun today everyone!! Zimmy good luck with the job search its no picnic I know I have been applying for jobs in the medical field and got bubcus so far.

Thank you both and I had my little Saturn SL1 packed up with boxes and was able to get those to Orlando yesterday! I was exhausted by the time I got home and sunburned to!

I didn't know they did brunch either until my old roommate, Matt, told me about it. I went on Easter Sunday a few years ago and loved it! The next time we get together, I will bring you a tube of my favorite handcream from L'Occitane!

Good morning everybody

Nice to see you Sylve! The kitchen's been quiet lately, but I always keep the coffee on just in case.

Seems like we've all been so busy lately, but with good things happening all around... still sending that job-finding mojo your way Zimmy...and I think looking at Disney and Universal is a great idea, especially since they're gearing up to head into their busy season pretty soon.

Poor Scoote worked extra late last night, and is off to work again already this morning. They're keeping her jumping for sure.

I head to the airport this afternoon to pick up my mother, who is visiting for a few days. Should be interesting, as usual. She does adore Rooster and they have a really good relationship...so that's a good thing. And she only likes short visits...so that's another good thing!

Off to refill the coffee...hugs to you all

and thanks Jo, i have been quiet around here lately...life's been super busy for me in so many ways, but i'm forever stalking you all and reading posts wondering how ya's are.. kinda creepy eh! heh..

the weather here has been so nice, i'm getting anxious to get out and spend some moments with nature.. i'm home sick today from work, though.. my boss encouraged me to stay home, honestly. i'm pretty sure i would have done fine working - but i think he didn't want to hear about my monthly woman problems LOL..so now it's a weekend off, today i will relax til the rest of the pain subsides but maybe tomorrow morning i'll get out and really enjoy the beauty of spring!
