I watched the grains of sand piling on high shimmering
glistening mound with one sparkling peak quiclky I turn the hourglass sideways time in my hands I heard it quietly slipping silence now somewhere peaks build again turning it over and over starting again watch ticking, sounding, beating, earth sparkling dew dropping earth shares her tears I can't stop the sands of time, now the heart not beating seeing a baby I hear the laughter and joy another life now throbbing |
