What did you accomplish today?

~ finally mailed the package sitting in my trunk for 2 weeks

~ talked to the contractors again

~ talked to the alarm company again

~ sat out to soak up some sun which is hard to do in sweats and a hoodie

~ spent the remainder perfecting being a slug

I started by hanging up clothes in the dryer
Then I moved the towels from the washer to the dryer
I helped change the lawnmower blade
Then I mowed a cool design into the front yard
Then I watered the front yard for a short bit so I could spread my Scotts Weed and Feed pellets (it sticks better to the weeds and grass if it's wet)
Then I made tuna salad for dinner

Busy Saturday...

• Woke up just after midnight for Rooster's phone call...on the bus coming home from Gradventure at Universal Studios
• woke up again at 1:30 a.m. - time to drive to the school to get him
• sit and read my Kindle (love it) until about 2:45...bus is late arriving
• pick up the kiddo and drive home....back by 3 a.m.
• kitties wake me up at 8....take away mechanical mouse, shoo them out of the bedroom and stumble back to bed
• wake up at 9 a.m. for real
• make coffee
• sit on the chaise by the pool, drink coffee and read
• called my mom for the latest health updates
• heard about the Universal trip from Rooster
• Scoote and I went to informal garden show at the county extension office....she got me a beautiful orchid, a huge bromeliad, and a pot of assorted cactus
• went out for some lunch
• did some shopping...Bahamas clothes for Scoote, new bathing suit and sandals for me
• picked up food for the velociraptors (aka teenage boys) from Outback
• made jello for Scoote and iced tea for me
• relaxing and listening to the rain

I ran in a 5k and came in first for my age group, 4th overall in the women's bracket. 23:37. I even got a little trophy. hahahaha Pretty good for not having ran in a race in almost 8 years. Didn't plan it at all. Just a spur of the moment thing, signed up about 30 min before the race started this morning. I'm alot faster than I thought I would be. I love that !!!! I'm kinda proud of that cheesy little trophy, I have to admit.

I spent several hours today doing a thorough investigation of the under-side of my eyelids.

They are just fine.

And, me? I'm quite well-rested!

Today I finaly got up at 9:32am & fed the fur kids then let them out.
finaly got a huge mug of coffee with toast while I was trying to fully wake up.
Then my new/used freezer was delivered so I gave it a second scrub down before I pluged it in.
Went to the store for more bandages for my son, who wrecked his motorcycle and refused to go to the e.r. btw his right arm and hand are doing very well but I am still wishing he would see a doc just for good measure.
We had gumbo for dinner,and all is put away.
had a shower,and washed the fur kids while I was at it.
Now im on the planet for a bit.

About 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday...

• made coffee
• fed kitties their tuna and gave the dog a little too just cuz
• made pumpkin bread and put it in the oven....smells wonderful and it's almost done
• whites out of the dryer, sorted, folded and put away....including 12 brands of socks for 4 different people....it's like a puzzle
• Rooster put his clothes into the washer
• I was nice mommy and moved them to the dryer when they were washed
• helped Rooster strip and remake his bed (seriously huge pillowtop mattress so he struggles with the fitted sheet)
• his sheets plus towels into the washer
• last few things into the dishwasher and got it started
• dragged the new bromeliad into the rain for a little shower
• dragged it back to the shade when the shower ended and the sun came out
• checked on the lemon grass...it's sprouting!

Well,

I slept in today
and it's a good thing I did,
because in the last hour,
I got three bona-fide job offers.

I don't think I'll be sleeping much tonight;
I need to carefully think about each one
and decide which one to take tomorrow.

I planted my whole garden today!!! 36 seed packets, two tomato plants and one English Daisy. I got it all in nice and random, cleaned off my tools, came in showered and the rain began. I couldn't have timed it any better! I don't know if things will come up, neither do I know if my landlord will let it alone, but all I can do is plant it and see what happens.

cleaned our bathroom

weeded around the little fence that goes around half the pool.
weeded some of the plants along fence line
raked up some deed weeds on side of house
washed my new silk shirts
showered/shaved
cleaned clutter from dining room table and coffee table
took a shirt over to a friends house and tried to talk to her about losing ur first love
came home and mashed potatoes for my sweetie(bc the boys like mine better)
cleaned kitchen
watered plants while talking to an ex on the phone bout a medical issue
sat outside and talked to Jo for a bit(till pesky lil bugs started nibbling on us

Job shadowed the possible freelance job.
Texting with the woman who interviewed me. Things look good for some formal training starting this weekend.

Shredded a bag of mail and stuff, into a colorful bag full of pretty paper strips. Thinking of the PenPal "Risky" project. I love shredded paper. Now what to do with it? Paper mache something or others.

I also use it when I ship things to the kidz instead of bubbles.

I made a three loaf batch of wheat/oat/sunflower seed dough...the old fashioned way. :flexing my new bread baker biceps:

Two loaves went into the fridge, the third into the oven. It turned out well, but the next time I will use more time, less yeast and let it rise a few more times before baking. All in all a nice sandwich bread though.
