Whenever I'm with a person or group and we are debating an idea or a course of action or whatever, I sometimes say, "Well, let's think about this for just a moment." And when I don't continue, they say, "Okay, I think...." Then I try to explain, "No, thinking means no talking. I mean let's just think for a moment a moment about what each of us has said and what we think now." It's really funny to me how people often equate thinking with saying "I think...." If I'm talking, then I'm definitely not re-thinking and that's what I like to do in a debate.
