The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

The good: I bought maple syrup today for my maple/bacon/chocolate chip cookies experiment.

The bad: I will probably eat ALL of the cookie dough before it makes it to actual cookie experiment. ... Also, still no place to live because the landlady I spoke to about my dream townhome right on the lake with a darling back garden and all gas kitchen is evidently paranoid of small dogs that spend their days sleeping and eating and sleeping. Grrrr....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ugly: The job nearly sent me over the edge today -- On top of all the BS, being short staffed, working through weekends and not being able to take time off to visit with family and friends, I was informed today that my department has to cover someone else's work next Monday because they have to play golf. OK, it's for charity. But still. RAWR!!!!!!! Excuse me? I had tickets to a fabulous gala for the introduction of the Titanic exhibit and I had to cancel because I didn't have staff to meet deadlines. Why didn't co-worker/golfer have to work for ME? RAWRRAWRRAWR!!! Yes, I'm feeling whiny. *sigh*
