My favorite yarn shop on line is Desert Vista Dyeworks
A lot of the knit a longs (KAL) have prizes. You post a picture of your final project to enter. You can look at my list of groups on my about me page. They are listed down the left side. Many of them are podcast groups. I have only been knitting for 2 years. I use you tube videos to see how to do things. You can also ask questions on Ravelry. People usually answer pretty quick.
