playing on the gravel piles at the house constuction sites around our new neighborhood in the new suburbs. Walking to the penny candy store when the candy was actually a penny. Romper Room, Sherman and Peabody, Megilla Gorilla.... My mom looking like Jackie Kennedy, with her flipped up hair and portrait collar dress. When my mom wore a paper dress to a Halloween Party, supposed to be dressed as a hippie! Fondue parties. All the kids gathered at the neighborhood park for "movie night." We all spread out on blankets and watched an old black and white movie on a big screen. Winning a "mod" doll in the Easter egg hunt. She had long, black hair, a psychedelic headband, and orange bell bottoms. .... Wow.
