i am thankful.. - for this journey, the incredible walk to take one's life back. i've missed so many things, so many people, and hobbies.. - for the fact that i often stumble, but always pick myself back up, dust myself off and focus on every reason to smile, be grateful & appreciate. - that i am passionate about things i believe in, standing up for those i love & paying it forward and making a difference. - that i can be my own person, with my own beliefs, hobbies & thoughts.. This year I have so much to be thankful for... My job, a roof over my head, shoes on my feet, clothes on my back, food in my fridge, my car and having gas in it, my family, my cat and my friends and colleagues, old and new; they keep me smiling and somewhat (?) sane...LOL And a very special thank you to Medusa, Jack and the Moderators for this wonderful Planet! |

Where do i start.
i agree with Miss Scarlett that the Planet is something to be thankful for. Thank you. That i have my somewhat sanity and the days of being lost and confused are over. That gut wrenching "what is going to happen to me" that i have experienced many times will never be again. That i feel wanted, needed and loved. That not a day goes by where i wonder if i am cherished or not. That i am not overworked or overwhelmed. My life is easy, so easy. Even with challenges it's easy! That i am living my dream, for the first time in my LIFE! That although raising kids is fulfilling and wonderful, i am glad to be enjoying life at my age. That we have an abundance and are blessed with good food a warm home, that can never be taken away. Knowing that Syr and i will be here until the end. That even though i am scared about my health, i know i will be ok and will not be tossed aside because i am too much trouble. Having a real future, living my future, being part of this family. That i get to see my Bio family often and whenever i want to. |

I am Thankful for:
Friends that are amazing, fun, loving people. A 15 year old mini diva step daughter that is the light of my life. A new friend who is kind, generous and selfless, who helped mini-diva with homework even though she was not feeling well herself. A healthy, communicative, peaceful dynamic with my ex, mini-diva's Mom. (thank Goddess for that because I see the exact opposite way too often) A sister who is a warrior and left her abusive husband 5 yrs ago to raise my two nephews alone rather than take one more minute of abuse..and is struggling but with some help is making a go of it and remaining optimistic even when it is hard. A career that I love and lots of work, opportunities to travel, and the chance of a lifetime for a much bigger project that I only ever dreamed of. The Planet where I can have fun when I am taking a break from life or want to connect with friends. A network of kind hearted people that are willing to adopt a local family for the holidays because a single Mom with MS and four kids, two of whom are recovering from a bad car accident, needs some help and has nowhere to turn to. I could go on and on..but you get the picture.

I am thankful for the sunrises the moon rises and all that's in between
I am thankful for my family, friends and the life i have I am thankful for a night out last night with my daughter and son in law...I haven't been to luis jr's in a long time however the food was yummy as it has been for the last 20 years.. I am thankful for the time spent with my granddaughters. I am thankful for my little pup. I am grateful for being able to give where i can, I cant give a lot but what i can I do. I am thankful i am not homeless...I see far too much of this. I am grateful....

that my friendship with someone remains true and strong
that my exes all seem happy. That means alot to me. While we didnt work, I did once love them and regardless of how bad or good the break up was, I want them to have a good life that I have a wonderful partner in life who is also a great tho sassy submissive that my store is doing so well and I am productive again rose cottage. I love my lil house. She is more than the roof over my head. She is my sanctuary...

Having my accident charges dismissed! !!! happy dance!
am thankful that allowed me the money to fill up my gas tank and stop by tge farmer's market for a few special treats for my best friend and the family that invited me to Thanksgiving. so thankful that dismissal will allow me to travel to visit my best friend , other wise I wouldn't have had the gas money. am thankful that the season of giving and special quality time with friends and family has reached my heart again .. am very thankful for the many gifts and good things I've received of late ...

I'm thankful for an amazing partner who loves me unconditionally. I know I am hard to handle, and she faces the challenge head on.
I'm thankful for my pets, I couldn't live without them. I'm thankful for a career that I love. I never wake up not wanting to go to work. I am also thankful for the Deaf community, friends, colleagues and professors that have passed on their wisdom and feedback to allow me to get to the level I am at. I am thankful for my loving, hardworking Wife who shares everything she has and is with my child and myself.
I am thankful for my wonderful daughter who is rocking college and helps me so much around the house. I am thankful for my Sister and her family, and if I am totally honest I am thankful for my large and extended family...even if they are all Republicans!  Thanksgiving is going to be fun this year!I am thankful for my friends who bring us such love and joy. I am thankful to have a good job (9 years already) that pays well. I am thankful to God for my many blessings. Happy Thanksgiving to those that celebrate the holiday.

Instead of having a pity party about where I want to be tomorrow and can't because work won't give me Saturday off, so traveling is out of the question. I'm thinking I am thankful for at least having a place to go for the holiday, so I don't have to sit home and sulk about where I can't be. It was nice of a co-worker to invite me for yet another year of Thanksgiving with her family. I get a kick out of her young grandson and miss being around kids sometimes. He's just started walking a couple months ago and I take his little hands in mine and we walk and we walk or at least we did last time he visited me.
I am very thankful I have an open heart again and an energy about me to keep moving in a positive direction. I'm thankful to have a job, whether it be part time or not. Work keeps me moving in that positive direction and I'd be bored if I had to sit home. I'm thankful for my chosen family, some of them know when I need a shout out or a text or a phone call. I'm thankful for everyday I wake and can see another sun rise or sun set.

remembering just a little ways backwards, i can do more than my heart used to let me do. i'm thankful that i have energy, and i hope that i don't waste too much of it. when i do, maybe it will be counted as good times or learning, ... from here on out. back in june, before the surgery on my heart, ... i told the nurses/doctors that this would be the sweetest heart they've ever seen lol. i flirted with the anesthesiologist right before she did her thing, i don't know if she knew what i was doing or not LOL. we both laughed. since the surgery, i've been angry. i pray that i lose that anger. i'm thankful for every day i get see my momma, and all the rest of my loves. i'm thankful for you all, ... health and happiness to you.

My Niece's last cosmetic surgery on her face went well.
She can smile now, with both sides of her mouth.  As an infectious optimist, I am grateful ahead of time that her Annual Biopsy for the 3rd heart turns out all right.
