I'm thankful for awesome friends who never let me down. For keeping me on the straight and narrow (even when that's no fun lol). I'm thankful for a wonderful job that not only pays the bills but also affords me lots of extra stuff. I'm thankful for people being honest with me even when I don't want to hear it. I am thankful for this website and the determination to keep it up and running.
I am thankful for the posts that I agree with, as well as the ones that I disagree with...this provides us all with great diversity and new perspectives that we may not have had otherwise. I am thankful everyday for another day of living, and for my sweet Sadie who brings me love and smiles every single day. I'm thankful that she shares her furry world with me and gives me her total trust. I'm thankful that my 15 year old dog gets to come to work with me and as I write this he is stretched out asleep on the couch across from my desk. Having him here makes working so much more fun.

I am thankful that all my prayers paid off and God led me to find someone who understands me, and loves me for who I am. Who is everything a girl could ask for and so very much more. Who holds me when I need it, and pushes me to get back up when I am down. He is amazing in every little way and I am thankful I have found a love as deep and true as His.
I am thankful for being blessed with 4 beautiful, loving, sweet, silly furkids. Each with their own personalities and quirks. I am thankful that I have a good steady job with health insurance, a roof over my head, and the ability to have food on our table each night. And that we are priviledged enough to pay it forward from time to time. I am thankful for my friends and family who have been so supportive over the years and now celebrate with me in my happiness.

I had an amazing experience with nature today. I went for a little hike before work. I wanted to collect some branches for a nature project...So I was walking down the trail carrying one of these boughs...Out of nowhere a little chickadee flew RIGHT in front of my face! He swooped up into a nearby tree and tweeted at me, doing his curious little head bob that chickadees do..I tweeted back to him...(I do these things..) and he FLEW DOWN from the tree and landed on the bough that I was holding! He sat there less than 2 feet from my face and considered me closely. Then flew off...then came another chickadee...same thing...and flew off...
I was heartily and happily amused by this exchange...and I took the turn into a nearby abandoned orchard. There were even MORE chickadees there. As I stood under one of the ancient apple trees, they continued to take turns landing on the bough I was still holding...chirping at me and such. On a whim, I put my hand up to one of the birds on the branch above me. Sure enough, it came down and landed on my HAND! It clung to my fingers and pecked lightly at my knuckle, then my fingernail. Several of them took turns doing this...it was a truly amazing experience. I did think to take a picture...any of you who know me on Facebook, I'm going to post it there Such a gift....and it's funny because little chickadee was my favorite uncle's nickname for me since I was a wee girl....

I am so very thankful today for the being introduced to a new church. Finding a place that I feel welcomed and secure is an amazing blessing in my life right now. I am looking forward to fitting this new group and new experience into my life. Even if the space has to be forced....
