An email from a very dear friend, who has an african gray parrot.
Yesterday, it fell down off its perch...as it fell..it was laughing and saying "whoops". She has no idea where she picked that up from...it made me chuckle, heartily..just imaging that bird doing such... The bird has a ritual..and when its timeline isn't met, tends to bite the owner. Recently, such timeline was delayed by an hour, so bird is yelling "outside"..."outside"..now...so when she finally did take bird outside, it bit her knuckle...twice in a couple days..anyway, now the bird says "No Biting"! "No Biting"! I can only imagine what it would say if it bit me..because I would have to let go with some expletives...lol...anyway, I get a kick out of her antics...

After a fairly crappy day I returned home to find a delivered package with my name on it. I wasn't expecting anything. What could it be? Who is it from? It's like Christmas or something... Oh, right! I hope I wasn't supposed to wait. It was a light therapy box with ionizer! Just what I wanted! From my mother. I don't even remember telling her I wanted one. Although I may have mentioned how winter in New England disagrees with me. I had forgotten what a great gift-giver she is and how nice it is to be on her list.

Watching one of my favorite movies of all times, The Last of the Mohicans, on the biggggg purty TV.....Reminds me of seeing it in the theater....
When it first came out, I would visit my dad on the weekends and he would give me money to go to the movies. It was a few miles from our house...right near Mount Holyoke College...and I went to see it several many weeks in a row...Just a gorgeous movie. Great music too...
