I got his blessing
Hello to everyone,
library_girl and I met here on the planet. I met my baby's family for the first time this past week and I was nicely received. On my personal agenda I brought an expensive bottle of scotch with me--her father and I both share a love for great scotch. Anyway, last night I asked her father for his permission to marry his daughter and was given his blessing, with a hug and a smile! Woo hoooo the girl is soon to be mine! Afterwards it was the most calm I felt for the whole trip. Now on to planning exactly where and how I will propose to my baby.

I'm just curious, what would you have done if he said no?
Or do people only ask permission when they're pretty sure they know what the answer will be, and they're doing it as a public gesture of commitment or something? Also, if your fiancee was raised by two lesbians, not a butch femme couple, which one would you ask, or would you ask them both at once?
