Ah, ok. I think I know which one you're talking about. It's interesting that NASA had no idea about the fireball. It was the weather service that picked this one up (on Doppler radar no less)

Linus, If you have access to an am/fm/sw emergency radio you can listen to the NOAA forecast all the time. |

Clearly it was a drive-by done by a group of visitors from outer space who didn't get the memo about only doing this stuff in rural areas where only a handful of easy to discredit folks will see them.

The volcano eruptions on Iceland have certainly challenged the airlines but the photos seen here are amazing! Definitely need to check them out.
