You know you have to have skills to play in the pouring rain. Sliding across the wet soaked field. Reaching out to grab a slippery ball. Playing in wet clothes.
Even the coaches are all covered up, writing stats under plastic. The final score not what I'm hoping for, but a fun game to watch

Patriots and Broncos in Denver. Hm. Would have preferred the Patriots and Chargers in New England but a Brady-Manning match up is always fun. Denver fans are awfully noisy. |

Congrats Denver. You played well, exploited weaknesses, and kept the pressure on until the end. Well done. Peyton Manning has done a terrific job coming back from his injury and surgery. Truly inspirational to see his versatility given his neck fusion. And, it is thrilling to see someone like Champ Bailey finally get to a Super Bowl after 15 years of outstanding play. As for my Patriots, you know they are not in sync when Brady is sitting alone on the bench. It is amazing they got this far given the injuries and overall questionable talent this year. Lets hope in the off season, they spend the money to keep the people they should, let go of the people they never should have signed, and delve into the free agent market for the type of talent we need. |

Actually, I like all 4 teams in the playoffs, but based records (and everything else), I'm behind the Broncos and 49ers. May the best teams win! Sidebar: I don't dare make bets, I've already sent Mounds bars half way across the country to by best friend who won a bet on the Auburn-Fla St game. I'd prolly end up owing someone a boatload of chocolate!
