I am lighting a candle for a childhood friend that has completely lost hope and feels as though life is not worth living. I pray that she is able to see there is still good in the world, that life can get better and that she is not alone.

 I light this candle for all those within the storms path. May they be safe, comforted,and respond quickly to all warnings. A special candle being lit for my family at this time now...My girlfriend,Our daughter and fiance and our three grandchildren. Who are in Ohio. My daughter and family are ok. They were hit and trees down, pavement up and flooding..but they are ok..thanks to everyone for the light and prayers for all involved.

My prayers are for those who need help after the horrific tornadoes that tore apart the south, and killing over 250 people. I also am praying for the sick, poor, and needy, children, term. ill, unemployed, underemployed, animals, nature, and the folks going up in the space shuttle. candles such as what Entycing Femme and so many of you post but instead I simply ask this of you...
My dear Aunt (75) died unexpectantly today. She and my uncle had been married 55+ years. She had had issues with a buildup of CO2 in her lungs, however, last night when my mother and I visited her she had shown significant improvement. She was alert, talkative and animated. For some reason as I left her last night I decided to thank her for seeing me through some of the darkest hours in my life. This morning her 02 sats dropped and she became unconscious. She was on life support until we reached the hospital. Since she had given her family the sweetest gift of completing a living will, my uncle and her two grown children disconnected her from all life support at 4:30 PM. She died in about 5 minutes. She was peaceful and painfree. Tonight my uncle is struggling with doing this although he knows this is what she wanted. After all those years as soulmates I find his courage and love to be beyond comprehension. Please remember him as he searches for peace as he moves through the days ahead.
