I admit that I didn't have particularly high hopes for this movie but I enjoy Anna Kendrick and so I picked it up tonight and I actually really liked it. It will appeal to the kooky romantic psychotic in you, plus part of it was filmed in my home town and I got see some places I haven't seen in a really long time.
Bonus dose of surprise happiness! |

I saw a double feature yesterday. First up was this movie.
It was so cute and I really enjoyed it. Who doesn't love Kevin Hart as a maniacal bunny? Then there was this movie... I enjoyed it way more than I should have. It definitely appeals to the prepubescent boy in all of us. |

This week, I've seen a variety of films.
I saw this and it was as expected; cute and charming but not particularly cerebral. It was fun fluff. This was good. The effects were nice and even if you haven't kept up with all of the movies in the series/franchise, you knew what was going on. I liked it. I also saw this movie and it was very entertaining. The effects are good and I enjoy a good action flick, so I was happy. Add some of my favorite actors and it's a good time. This movie was quite enjoyable and fun to watch. I loved the vintage colors and clothes and cars and the acting was really good as well. This movie was the most interesting because you can take this scenario and replace it with certain events with various communities. It's documentary style and is cheeky. I quite liked it. |

I saw two movies yesterday. Both were fantastic.
I laughed so freakin' hard during this movie. There was a group of about 10 women and they laughed so hard too, the 11 of us were louder than the rest of the audience. I highly recommend it. Highly. This was a great action flick and, if you like the series, it's a really good addition to it and a fine welcome back for Mr. Damon. |

I loved it too, brilliant. I had no idea who played who until King Louie first spoke ... unmistakable Christopher Walken.

I saw this today.
I liked it but I don't think that it's going to be as lucrative as the previous installments. It's truthful, though, and it's got Cedric the Entertainer plus a bevy of other wonderful folks. |

Hi everyone,
Watched a this brilliant film the other night. Its set in the early 80's when the first cases of Aids were starting to really take hold in the gay comunity. The film was out in 2014, but i never saw any previews at cinemas over here in the uk for it. The film has superb acting, julia and mark and all the cast are exceptional. You have to see this film. Its so moving, tearful & anger are the two main emotions you feel. A must see movie. |

I liked both these films.
Girl i liked because i like Emily Blunt. people were a tad upset that it was set in usa and not where the book depicts which is London. I hadnt read the book, so i guess that helped in some ways. I found it really good. A Quiet Passion. This film is about the life of Emily Dickinson, the poet, who is played by none other than Cynthia Nixon. All the cast are really good, and Cynthia seems to capture Emily beautifully. The Film does have its light hearted moments, but on the whole is one about Emily's own struggles, and therefore quite sad. But if you like period films with a very thought provoking meaning behind it, then this is a very good film. |

Carrie Pilby Stars: Bel Powley, Nathan Lane, Gabriel Byrne
A person of high intelligence struggles to make sense of the world as it relates to morality, relationships, sex and leaving her apartment. A little quirky ,yes it is based on the novel by Caren Lissner, but it was just what I was in the mood for ![]() |

Has anyone seen Get Out?
I saw the previews yesterday and even the preview scared the hell out of me. I know homoe doesn't like Rotten Tomatoes ( I read one of homoe's posts recently ![]() That is one of the highest ratings that the critics on Tomatoes usually give and viewers are close behind. I am interested in anyone that saw it and their thoughts. Is it really as scary as it looks? If there is a trick or surprise ending, pls give a spoiler alert. Thanks a lot.

I haven't seen or heard of it, but I will ask my bff if she's seen any sort of trailer for it at the movies.
I'm no movie expert or anything, but when I look up a movie via a Google search and I read the R.T. analysis, I sometimes think that how they determine the success of the film based on methods of critical review (which I think encompasses ranking systems of: budget, box office earnings, +\- audience opinion, and evaluative analysis by industry experts - such as Siskel and Ebert) gives someone a type of way to form their own opinion --- or in case someone has viewed the film and either agrees with submitted assessments or rejects submitted assessment of said film, is mostly, I think, pretty much near the agreed upon general evaluation of the film. BUT, *lol*, I do tend to think that there is no real mistake free way to know if you've got a box office success or in some cases, films that were thought to not be well received actually turned out to be huge Sleeper hits. Thanks for posting about Get Out, Anya. I'm going to add it to my Memorial weekend "gotta see" movies list.

I caught it on VuDu.
I am really glad I saw it. It was highly original and very clever. It was not scary in the way that I had feared, meaning not a slasher-type movie (well some but not gratuitous). I will say no more other than it is worth seeing. Also, I like to support creative films that are written and directed by minorities. My hope is always that if it is successful; it opens the door to more filmmakers that would otherwise not have a chance to create their own vision. It was smart scary. ![]() ![]() Quote:
