I had a good time out tonight with My best str8 female friend, had dinner then I dragged her shopping with Me to Wally World (Wal-Mart, Wally Mart etc). Its always nice to see her and hang out with her, we don't get to very often cuz she works full time and has lots of family commitments but I cherish the time we have together!
Thank the God and Goddess for friends :-)

It rained last night and cooled things off around here. But what brought me joy, was sitting on the patio, and the outdoor rustic country aromatic smell of nature , from the wet trees, in the forest that my yard backs up to. It smelled just like it did at my fav. aunt's house out in the country, when I was a kid. When I was about 7 yrs old I spent a summer with her, some of my fav. memories were made that summer. My love and appreciation for the outdoors, and nature, were cemented that summer. And my fantasies of owning a ranch with lots of acres and a big barn, were created from my adventures that summer. It's amazing how some smells take you back, the memories seem so vivd, such a happy time, just put me in a great mood!!!

The first 10.5miles on the big chain ring and tiny sprockets brought a big grin to my mush.
 However the second 10.5 on the granny ring and the big sprockets against a horrible headwind brought a grimace and sore lungs.

The storm that missed us. We were on the river in kayaks.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have been happy about not getting that rain. We are pretty far behind for the spring, summer and going into fall.
