I am looking foward to...
the long holiday weekend. celebrating a friend's 40th birthday on Saturday. seeing one of my best friends (also my exwife) on Sunday. She is coming into town for a quick visit on Sunday & bringing her nephew with her. I haven't seen either of them in over 2 years. having my boss finish building his beach cabin... so I can have a FREE place to stay down there, instead of paying out the wazoooo to rent a cabin! HOPEFULLY an upcoming Austin trip ~ I miss my schmoopies. the Reunion. and blue water & sandy beaches in January!!! |

Plein air trip
VACATION
A drive along the Pacific Ocean, then the San Jacinto Mountains (Idylwild) and Palm Springs Resort all in the same trip. Stopping where the beauty captivates me and the mystique enthralls me. . No hotels booked, no deadlines, just long overdue time for me. Petsitter on standby for when I shall escape.

July 31st when my (unbelievably cheap) flight takes off for Hamburg
 Being in Germany as of August 1st for a week and a half! Eating Currywurst, ox meat sanwiches and steak sandwiches again Seeing my friends from across the Atlantic again! Camping out in cattle fields for a week with said friends and 70,000 other unwashed metal fanatics  Coming out of it all with the most painful, pealing sunburn ever, but it will be a good pain achieved in good times with good friends, good drink and good music Wandering around near the German/Danish border for half a week to discover if the Danes love Faxe as much as the Canadians. Skoal! So excited! It is annoying that there are so many days left lol I don't want to wait! |

Its the Queer Film Festival today and tomorrow. I am looking forward to having dinner with friends tonite before we go. Then after we are going to Beers for Queers, which happens the last thursday of every month... this will be a new thing for me...
Then to the Art Gallery Saturday for a view of Emily Carr's  work... I have no patients this weekend... it is all about me!!!
