(note): as I have written before - and told on my (ownself) essentially that I can't dance - I mean (not) a single lick... (so to speak) ...
During a recent conversation (with her) regarding my lack of ...ahem (skills) in that area...I was talking about how when I was in high school (WAY back then) - that I was always in the school spring musical - but my lack of (dancing) skills was well known (even then) - they always just gave me a (stool) to sit on - while everyone else danced - and I just sang - and they left me out of the whole choreographed chorus line stuff...lol (and) yes... you are so patient with all my rambling - but I do have a point...I'm getting to it... Now...I like to consider myself a pretty tough guy (at least on occassion) ...and would never in my life consider certain things as an option or would even in my (wildest) dreams consider doing... I mean like (ever)....for instance say... actually (taking) dance classes or something like that.... SO...here goes: Me: Well...it's not that I (wouldn't) dance - it's just that any rhythm I have stops at my ankles... She: Well, we should take a ballroom dance class or something like that - because (every)one (really) should know how to dance - (even) just a little... Me: (frozen) momentarily in silence at the words "class and ballroom dancing" - but, I recover quickly and say... "absolutely" ... you are right. Let's do that. Now...here's the part that makes (me) smile... i (actually) will take a dancing class - (just) for her - so that I can (dance) with her...the things one will do - when absolute love is involved - continues to amaze me every day - (and) yes, I know I write a lot - but (her) love for me - continues to amaze me every day ... and again - how can that (not) make me smile...and the dancing - where do I sign up? So, as I have come to discover (and) happily so - the words ... "no, I won't do that" - NEVER and I mean (ever) occur to me... and here's another secret ... (but don't tell) - I would even eat meatloaf if she asked me too... ! So, for you my amazing lady - this is for you - because: My lady's presence makes the roses red, because to see her lips they blush for shame. - (H.C.)
