Dunno if anyone's said this one yet, but Steven Universe. It's a damn cartoon on Cartoon Network and *still* possibly the best damn show I've ever seen. Brilliantly written, brilliantly paced, excellent character and relationship development, an actual narrative with no sitcom-style reverting to a status quo at the end of every episode, a title character who's a repudiation of toxic masculinity, a cast of heroes and villains who are very much majority-women (one of whom is a lesbian relationship, it's a long story), smart-as-hell usage of foreshadowing and generally assuming the audience isn't stupid, etc. Did I mention it's a damn cartoon on Cartoon Network.

I'm not much of a television show watcher, but there are a few TV programs that I think have helped me understand life better or provided for interesting entertainment: 1) The Cosmos (Carl Sagan). 2) The Wire (so very good). 3) Masterpiece Theater (PBS).
