I'm trying to post some vacation pics in the gallery and it tells me they have uploaded successfully....but then they don't appear and it says "no images."

I tried uploaded them in an album, and also as a single pic, but no luck.

Snack tried too, with the same result.

Did I break the gallery?

I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but for the past few days I have been getting database errors about half of the time while pages are loading. I thought I'd give you guys a heads up in case it isn't just on my end.

P.S. Like now; when I try to submit the reply; now I'm not sure if it will show up 2x or not at all.

Gaige and I both have been getting a lot of Data Base Error messages. Mine seems to be primarily when I try to go to "User CP". In the last half hour, I am not able to access "User CP" at all.

Linus, sorry but I sent you an email with a screen shot from Chrome. I am getting tons of Database errors when trying to load up the website or signing in, or even trying to go into a thread and post or go between threads. pages are not acting correctly,ie I used the thanks button, it disappeared but didnt' show up as a thanks. Pages loading with huge amount of lagging and tying up my browser. I dont know what's going on. This has happend tons today and yesterday. I am glad to know it's not just me that's having Database errors.

Yes and No.


Once we upgrade to 4.0 (our forum software solution), there is a mod that actually *will* save people's posting and font preferences. The problem is that we don't know what kind of load that will put on the system because it basically means that our server will have to search a "font table" every time you make a post to determine what your style should be.

This might be way more server intensive that we can handle for this many posters but we will certainly test it and see!

I seem to be in a pickle. In my infinite wisdom I decided to alter the `time` to European in my...whatever its called....so it showed the time here when I was actually posting where I was....but now I have posted and my post showed up further back up the thread, not last post, I am showing up as posting before people that I actually posted well after....and I now I cant remember what `time area` was the default setting I originally changed it from, which I want to reset it to......

And if you can make any sense at all of this you are a star...any ideas ?

ok for some reason I cant get into chat and i download firefox emtied my cookies and cache and when i hit the chat button its a white screen and says chat rooms powered by powered by 123flash chat server software in small letter at the top...... I even upgraded my java

says I do not have permission to access thispage.. due to 1. I amtrying to edit post b;ah blah 2, my account has been deactivated

this is still continuing ihave t earse the prior post to post and repping is a big problem too I miss posting ~ is their anyway to fix this ? I have done everything u asked me to do on my own end.

Do you have anti-virus software installed? It's not the java that likely needs updating but Flash. Can you check that you have the latest version of Adobe Flash http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Alternatively, Google's Chrome browser already has this feature as part of the browser.

Is there some way for us (as in each user) to change the background colors etc of the site? For some reason, when I read this site, my eyes get very strained. I don't have that with other sites, so I figure it has something to do with the way the site presents on my computer. Is there a way I can control the background settings?

Hopefully that made sense, I am not a techie.

HI , As you can see this is one issue I am having ~ I cannt post w/out having to include the PRIOR post ~ now # 2 I am also hving issues Repping a post ~ takes several times to rep a post ~ maybe it works maybe not ~ lol a box comes up and says my account needs to be reactivated ? ~ it was never not activated ~ could u plz fix this ~ I have written to the contact us . no response, and I just found the geek thread ty ~ ocean

You are registered and activated. There's no way you could post without that. Can you please clear out all your cookies from your brower, log off the site, close your browser and then log back in?

Not unless we upgrade the site to version 5. That requires a major change to the site and is a huge undertaking that would require some coordination between Medusa and myself. We've talked about it in the past but our concern is the look and feel for the site and keeping that. (from a navigation point of view)
