My Mom made it back to her nursing home today! She has been sprung from the hospital, and they say they have her medications right now. She was pretty sleepy on the transport ride from the hospital to the home, and then she slept for several hours. We suspect they gave her a cocktail of sleeping meds to get her through the trip. But at dinner time she sat up and ate well. I am so relieved she is back where we can visit her.

interview for a cardiology position I’ve been lusting after. I’m hoping to get a call with an offer tomorrow.
The other job I was offered has the most laborious on boarding I ever saw in my life. I literally had to have documents notarized 😳

My little granddaughters came over for our Christmas today. For the first time there were no toys under the Christmas tree! What they wanted and what we got them were new laptops! They were so happy they squealed! They are getting alot of toys from mom and dad, and Santa, so I didn’t see that they needed them from us too. Sure did put a smile on my face!

Not today, as I've managed to successfully keep myself away from people in general, but yesterday I got two compliments from a teenage cashier on my nail color and my MATH tee.

Then, later in the day, I got a strange look by a middle aged Englishman who told me that I was "visually interesting." He also said he'd never wondered about another person's watermelons before so I suppose he had his own quirks because who wouldn't be interested in what someone was doing with dozens of watermelons??? My first thought would be that they worked with Gallagher.

For reference, I had on the MATH tee with a black, white and grey plaid button up unbuttoned over it and with the front ends tied in little knots and a black, nubby jacket on top and red plaid stretchy pants, black socks and my Pride shoes. The pants aren't exactly what I have but mine were a Savers find and likely no longer made.

It's close enough to get the visual, though. Basically, a nod to my time in Seattle.

Oh, and before that, I was at the hair salon and one of the new stylists I have dubbed Christmas Grimace due to her purple hair and Xmas tree headband...told me that my makeup and the way I did my brows today reminded her of Ariel. I could do a lot worse than a Disney princess.

After work, my day was filled with compliments and fun discussions about my attire and general vibe. It was a very, very good evening!

Met my buddy for lunch yesterday. We use to meet once a week for a meal but haven't done that in several years, due to our very different schedules and the proximity of each of our homes being close to different towns. We talked, laughed, and had a good time catching up.

Yesterday afternoon I took a friend to PT and we saw one snow fort being built and the start of a snow man, I think. It was nice seeing the kids outside having a blast.

Seeing the USPS post person out in the snow delivering mail in the middle of a storm. Yesterday I watched the postal van wobbling up a driveway in the snow, barely making it.

Couldn’t tell which worker it was but they were hustling and it made me smile knowing we have one the best postal services in the world.
