For the residents of Joplin Missouri who were hit by a tornado this evening. For the hospital patients who had to be evacuated after only having 5 minutes warning before being hit by the tornado. To the families of the 24 confirmed deaths so far. The devastation is wide spread.

Continued prayers for my coworkers and everyone in Joplin. It was confirmed today that 5 patients perished in the storm and an unidentified visitor.
Prayers that the hospital will be rebuilt quickly and that coworkers will have minimal disruption in their employment. Prayers for the massive amount of disaster relief participants overseeing the efforts to meet the needs of our employees that were affected. Prayers for the 116 victims and their families and those who lost their homes. Just thinking about it brings tears to my eyes. Its very hard when you know 1700 of your coworkers are affected in some way by this tragedy.

It's ok to let go Memaw, as much as we all love you we don't want you to fight to stay here and suffer. You've had a full wonderful life surrounded by those that love you and you loved. You've given so much of yourself to all of us, we'll never forget you Memaw, there's no way that will ever happen. Papaw is waiting on you with open arms Memaw, we know you'll be taken care of, the Good Lord and Papaw will see to that Memaw, as well as my beloved wife, she loved you just as you loved her. My best friend lost her beloved dog to cancer. It was discovered 4 days ago, and she had to put her best friend down yesterday. The cancer tumors were the size of grapefruit and behind the spleen and pancreas. They couldn't be felt or seen on any x-rays. They were found by sonagrams and bloodwork. She even took her dog to a specialist. No hope to be found. She made the best decision in this situation. This is the 3rd dog that I know of in real time that has been put down within this last month. |
