Tumbledown 2015 Rebecca Hall, Jason Sudeikis, Blythe Danner
A young woman struggles to move on with her life after the death of her husband, an acclaimed folk singer, when a brash New York writer forces her to confront her loss and the ambiguous circumstances of his death. I enjoy it even tho it was a bit predicable ![]() |

Saw this film yesterday and I loved it.
If you don't know who Eddie was, he was the first British ski jumper to enter the Olympic games for our nation. This is a story of guts, determination and some say down right madness. You go with him on his journey and you simply have to Love the guy by the end of it even if you thought he was nuts. It's a film that isn't too demanding but it isn't boring. Watch it when it comes out on dvd if you don't wanna go to the cinema to watch it. |

OK so I have to ask why didn't you just forward to the bit of the film that you had got to when ya TV shut off and start watching it from there. Just saying ;-) I have yet to watch this, heard good things about it. |

I saw Hello, My Name is Doris yesterday and enjoyed it. Sally Field was great and it was quirky and touching.

I saw it yesterday and didn't enjoy it at all. Felt like a movie about an older woman written by a younger woman who had no clue of how an older woman thinks and behaves when she has a cruch on a younger person. I also wanted something more substantial on her hoarding problem (the quick recovery annoyed me more than anything). And her relationship with her bestie ... I could go on, but won't. ![]() I thought Fields was awesome in conveying her role, but that's the best I can say about the movie. Different strokes and all that jazz ![]() |

You're right and that's what makes the world go 'round.
![]() I saw Secret In Their Eyes tonight. It felt slow but I didn't see where any scenes could be cut and still tell the same story. It took me a minute to slide into the continuous flashbacks but the story itself was solid. It was good. Not my favorite but I am glad I saw it. |

I watched Steve Jobs last night! I really had no desire to see it but now I'm so glad I did! I know Hollywood takes creative license with these movie so I'm wondering if Job's real life assistant Joanna Hoffman had any input at all.

A sheltered, intelligent college student Doug (RJ Mitte of "Breaking Bad") changes his life forever when he hires an underachieving driver Scott. In order to escape his oppressively loving mother, Doug agrees to go on a spontaneous road trip with Scott and his college crush Stephanie (Paloma Kwiatkowski of "Bates Motel"). I really enjoyed it

My online daughter and I just watched this. I don't even know what to say. It was good - tense and dark - but so so fucked up.

Hi there everyone.
So went to see these 2 films yesterday. Jungle Book was first. Really liked this film, was beautiful to watch. And the cgi wasn't invasive. They stick to the original film pretty well. I saw it in 3D Imax which for sure makes it a much richer viewing experience. There were just as many adults on their own as families together. You won't be disappointed. So now Eye In The Sky. This film is good but not the best film like this I have seen. Helen Mirren is great as always, as is the late Alan Rickman. The film really annoys the hell out of you for the large part, which is the point. This is because of all the protocol that as to be followed. The audience was groaning at the pure fact that is can and probably does happen in real life. Some of it seems to be a bit dramatic just to hang it out for a while longer. The film does however get the 2 valid points across. That these kinds of decisions are never as easy as people think. I would say personally that you could just watch this on dvd when it comes out. It's not one that is a must for a trip to the cinema. |

I saw The Jungle Book today and LOVED IT. Absolutely loved it.
The boy was great. For a first time actor who doesn't have other actors to work against, he did such a remarkable job. Everything but Mowgli is CG and it's fantastic. I love Ben Kingsley's voice anyway and he was awesome as Bagheera. So many good voice actors in this flick! If you like to see how movies like this are made, watch this. If you see it, stick around for the credits. They do a little something, pop up book style, with them. |
