I've been browsing the threads, as I waited for my account to be activated.

It's nice to see some familiar names and avatars. I've been on different Web sites and listservs for years, and while some issues seem constant, I see there are lots of new points of view here, and it seems a safe place for the huge range of complex identities people embody.

So thanks for activating me, so to speak

and I look forward to some pleasant surprises on the Planet.
