I was in bed for 12 hours but didn't sleep all of it. I went to bed at midnight and got up at noon. That's very unusual for me to be in bed that long. Woke up several times plus Amazon called me at 8 a.m. about one of my book shipments. Had to verify my identity by giving them the last 4 digits of my bank account so of course had to drag my ass out of bed and log into my account. Well however many hours I got I'm still tired, lol.

Technology in the bedroom is an absolute no-no in my apartment. The only disturbances come from physical people or cats.

If someone has business with me, and I'm sleeping, they can leave a message on voicemail for a callback later. Phone is kept in the living room.

Yes, good idea. I do have a bad habit of looking at my phone to read when I can't sleep, which I'm sure just keeps me awake even more. I really need to break myself of that habit.

I did answer the phone because I needed to talk to Amazon about my shipment but usually only answer if it is someone I know, and no one I know calls me at 8 a.m., lol.

I probably got about 7 hours of sleep, but once again broken up.

I got around 6 I think. I agree about the not having technology in the bedroom. Studies say that even if you fall asleep with your tv on your eyes will recognize the flicker of the screen while you sleep and you will not get a "deep sleep". I do have a tv and tablet in my bedroom. I also take my phone with me. But, I turn the tv off when I am ready to rest, the tablet is rarely on, and the phone goes on the charger and I put it on silent.

First shift was 4 hours. However, I was on call and got called to deal with a work emergency for about an hour- (but thankfully was able to talk it through over the phone rather than go in hands on)- then settled back in and got another 2 I think?
