My friendly neighborhood Avon lady brought my goodies to my work. Made made me less grumpy that I have to work on a holiday weekend while all my friends are off.

And for an extra smile I painted my nails with my new polish while at work.

Take THAT 12 hour work days!

Talking with my neighbor who is battling cancer. He is only 28 yo. I offered to take him for a chemo/radiation treatments, and helping out with other stuff. It was good to be able to chat with him. It was comforting for both of us.

Honey, the squirrel of mine, came to me this morning, and after getting her peanuts, came right back. She wanted to chat with me. This is so unlike her. I am wondering if she wants me to paint her nails. She kept putting out her front paw. I tried to hold her paw, but she jumped. They built their nest right in the tree behind my house. They can literally jump from their tree to my yard and back. Rosie may not like it when I tell her I am using her nail polish on the squirrels nails. Just not an every day thing for most people.

Waking up to the sounds of opening day of the Tour de France on the bedroom TV and Miss Pinky saying I am worse than a little boi on Christmas morning when the race starts. We laid in bed and laughed and tussled with the dogs before getting up to watch the race. She makes me smile BIG because she woke up early to turn the TV on for me.

the gift of 2 feathers found by a very special friend;

Thursday evening spent with special friends; the wisdom and support of beloved sisters;

my little kitty bringing me the gift of her favourite toy fur mouse just now;

and coffee....lots and lots and lots of coffee!

Oscarliscious my 4year old nephew made me smile lots despite having 'caught' the habit of using my full birth name from my Pops. However, now that I know I can make the 20odd mile round trip one my bike I can 'retrain' him out of this bad habit when I go over to play. He's forgiven his trangression because he's Oscaroony and totally adorable despite wearing his 'Auntie' Tez (not my birth name) out
