A good, productive day.
I enjoyed watching all the wild birds and squirrels flitting and flirting about as the snow came down. Everything is so quiet when it snows that you can clearly hear birdies sing and fuss at eachother. As I went about my storm-prep chores, spending the day with a witty, wildly-funny, confident, articulate, flattering, caring and respected friend brought me much joy. I can't express how good their positive, non-pressuring, non-intimidating, genuine friendship feels. They make me laugh so much, it reminds me of how momma D taught me the value of laughter and value of a close friendship. They made a cold, snowy, worrisome day pass fast with a delightful distraction. The value of friendship and laughter ...brings much joy.

Eagles
An American Bald Eagle has been sitting in the same tree for 4 consecutive days. Each day, I get closer and closer and finally have some great video. (in case I get old-timers)
The only thing I can surmise is the rivers in the surrounding St. Louis area are all frozen and their food of choice is fish. They are having to increase their hunting grounds. How majestic the eagle is.

Being on cloud 9
My son inviting me to Colorado The late evening sunshine and now the bright moon and stars giving me hope about warm weather and safe travels tomorrow. Excited to see my son even if I must wade thru 20 inches of Pennsylvania's snow. Watching the wildlife play in the snow and enjoy what food I put out in as many spots as I could get to. an awesome dinner (my roommate and I are awesome cooks! Damn that was yummy !) My self confidence slowly building back up with the nurturing of a dear friend. Getting to relax today after confirming I didn't need to be on the roads...relaxing helped ground me and focus on important things. Being looked after by close friends and family. Ending the day on cloud 9.
