My brother has retired from the fire dept of 30 years ( will get lots of time off now!)and we are planning a meet up in Alabama in May. He will get to meet his new grandson and I get to hold my new great nephew!!
And of course see two nieces and 4 littles!!

I'm looking forward to the Braves actually winning a baseball game this year. Right now we have the worst ranking (zero) in American baseball, as we have won no games yet and lost seven. I can't wait to see them win one.

Looking forward to a weekend alone. The boy is going to spend the weekend with his nerdy D & D friends, so Brittany and I get the whole house to ourselves. We can listen to music as loud as we like and I can use all the hot water! Plus we will probably roll around on the floor in the hallway and play some fun doggy and person games. (The hallway is the only place I can easily get up from the floor because it's where the top of the stairs is.)

I thought it was going to be a sunny day today and I was going to be focused on yard work. However, early evening yesterday I learned it's going to be cold and rainy pretty much all day. So I'm going to have to spend the day inside, listening to music, enjoying the Pollo Guisado I slow cooked last night, puttering, crafting, and reading. Tragic!

After his D & D weekend, the boy was home for the rest of the week on vacation, during which he was mostly crabby and followed me around the house seeking attention. It was like living with a cat. So now I am looking forward to some alone time while he goes back to work.

Tomorrow Best Butch and I are going on an adventure!
Catching the beach trolley down to the pretty white sand of St Pete beach. There is a Sand Castle Festival. The weather is great and I'm sure we will find good food as well!

Getting my first mountain climb of 2025 tomorrow. A little bit of a late start but not too bad. My climbing buddy and I always open season with a particular mountain. I'm excited to see her and get to the top!

Vacation!!
Roadtrip to Alabama. I'm going to meet my new great nephew. Lots of baby holding going to happen. I held his Mama ( she's a twin)years ago. Oh how happy this will be. The other twin isn't that far away so it will be a double treat! I will be bringing Grammy heirlooms with me. Added surprise...my Brother will meet me there. He gets to meet his new grandson. Good times ahead
