At 10:30, I have an interview for a middle school choral director's gig at Chapa MS in Hays County!!!! I'm VERY excited....have spoken with the HS Director (who will be at the interview) and I have a VERY good feeling about this.

So I'll keep You posted, whichever way it goes.....I just feel as though this job is mine!

Ya well I was amazingly special this weekend and thoroughly thought it was on sunday....I got all dress on sunday half way there running late, texted arwen to find out I was a day late...sigh....sorry! I have been a bit scatter brained!!!!

Well, folks...I just don't think it could have gone any better! It was a great interview!

Like I mentioned earlier, the HS Choral Director was also there...and she and I visited some before the Principal got to the meeting. It seems that she was a neighbor to one of my former choral directors AND she did HER student teaching with her as well...small world!

ALso, one of my area superintendents in Richardson was the Hays Cty. Superintendent for the past 5 years or so. He is retired now. So that was cool!

The interview DID make me realize how long it had been since I'd been in a great school district! Their music budget is amazing, as is their choir room....the school's only 3 years old or so....so all the bells & whistles! Great place! I will hear something ~ yea or nay ~ on Thursday.

The principal had her 2 8-week-old black lab sister-puppies there....TOO CUTE!!!!! I got kisses.....<smile> I'm in.

Oh and another neat thing? When I got home, I checked the mail....and there waiting for me was a lovely ~ and I mean LOVELY ~ check from the IRS! It seems I overpaid!

I'm not questioning the Universe! I'm just NOT! It's so wonderful and amazing!

It's a good day!

Ok....so I was supposed to hear yesterday and did not. I'm trying not to allow my eternal optimism be dashed against the stones, but it's difficult at this point.

I know she had a difficult time reaching 2 of my references, so I'm thinking that might be some of it......I just don't know at this point. I still think I'm the best candidate and I would be so grateful to be a part of that team.....

I'll let You know when I hear something....

In the meantime, my new dishwasher is being delivered today and then Ms. Tabitha and I are invading The Ikea........someone might need to call ahead and warn them!
