What made me smile today...
Being asked by the staff that I worked with today to give three adjectives that would describe the overall feel of the clients/atmosphere on our shift in order to close out our end notes. I chose: moody, restless and still. The clients were moody and restless but the atmosphere was still and quiet... Staff and supervisor both liked my choices. They were happy to see new adjectives in the logs. LOL they have no clue just how adjectively full of it I can be. I'm gonna liven that place up yet!! Sitting at the square in the middle of downtown waiting for my transfer bus to pull in for my ride home and three teens from the shelter came over to talk with me. I think it's awesome that they feel comfortable and safe enough to hang with me for a bit outside of my "work" mode. I still have to maintain that level of professionalism with them but it's freakin' cool still the same!!
