I went grocery shopping this afternoon!
I spent a lot of $$$ restocking the fridge and cupboards and forgot the bag of ice I paid for at the store! But... now I get to spend time in the kitchen making Pumpkin Cheesecake with gingered chocolate drops! *yum* |

All quiet on the Eastern front!
I had breakfast on the deck, watered my herbs (and then it rained cats and dogs later), walked my dog, found some interesting things at the local Goodwill store, talked to three neighbours, had tea, received three packages and my Urban Organics produce order, made potato-leek soup, and throughout the day, spun some merino/silk blend on my brand new spindle, which spins like a dream! Oh! and cleaned the kitchen!

_ slept in. unfortunately I had quite a drive ahead of me and it wasn't a good thing to start th day behind the 8 Ball.
- breakfast, shower & out the door in record time - to ATM - to gas station. Long line up due to computer not working - off to another gas station - finally on the road - make good time despite not speeding too much - hit construction traffic. Take unmarked detour - - rdalize the is no possible way to get to work on time. So I relax and take my time - call my supervisor & explain lateness. He pretends he is exasprated but can;t quite fool me! dude, it's Saturday! :-) - finally check email & phone for messages. nothing :-C |

Cleared, cleaned and reorganised the garage. I use the term 'garage' loosely. There has never been a car in there....
Took around 50% of the contents of said garage to the recycling center. Deep cleaned the chicken coop. Prepared dinner. An exceptionally yummy fish pie. Yes, I am blowing my own trumpet. Do ya like the tune?

Bought some much needed stainless steel wing nuts at Tractor Supply. Then went to Home Depot and bought a couple of 4' by 8' sheets of plywood. Cut 2' off the length of both pieces of plywood. My doc put me in a walking boot this past week so that is about all I can do today. My foot started hurtiing really bad September 14th. I gimped along for two weeks on it and then went to the doctor. He thought it was gout. This past week, he backed off the gout diagnosis and now thinks stress fracture - waiting on insurance to approve an MRI. I am about to damn near die of boredom!! Pretty day and I could be doing so many fun projects.
 I shouldn't complain - so many people have much worse stuff going on which would make this little gimmpy foot nothing in comparison.Happy Weekend to Everyone! |

I spent the majority of my day doing stuff for work, though it's my off day. That's okay. I like to shop. Got lots of goodies and even got singles for the petty cash. I got to watch the sky open up and drop some pretty heavy duty storms on us, which we needed badly. I got soaked to the bone and am now home after doing the following:
eating breakfast bitching at Ebon, though he's across the country fixed computer issue with Ebon's help got funds from work for today's shopping adventures talked with coworker about still not having a potty/sink/running water/etc called the guy in charge of sending out dudes to fix above issues met with guys who came to fix said issues went to Wal-Mart and bought stuff for work, but also a few things for me went to Home Depot to get some stuff I couldn't find at WM went back to work to bring receipts/money/stuff back took shovel/spade and new gloves I bought to go pull a small tree/shrubby thing up that I like replanted at my home went to the post office got soaked three times today (yaaaaay for rain) almost slid into a post cuz of oil and water mixing on the road....really....for once, it wasn't user error almost got sideswiped cuz of some moron that didn't know how to drive in a torrential downpour touched base with coworker again gathered some food am now playing online |

Way too much. Just locked everything up and came in from out back a little while ago. Nuked a potato, trying to eat it but simply too exhausted to be hungry. My number one canine son has his eye on potato. I think he knows it is about to be turned over to him. *chuckling to self*

cooked breakfast ironed clothes shopped for human food, chook food, canary supplies, 4 new tops and a bright green bag with a delightful dangly flower, because the today's sunshine made me feel all spring-y! returned a cute little button through sweater because it 'peeped' swept and tidied the garage cooked lunch spent time with someone wonderful

Getting moving after breakfast was an accomplishment because of taking two pain pills last night that made me hung over but still sore....
After bath... cleaned bathroom from top to bottom Went to Restore looking for gardening stuff Went to a Camper sales place and checked out about two dozen campers ... fell in love with two... daydreamed big time... still thinking of possibilities since I no longer have a car payment and my new job will double my pay... Picked up newly hemmed dress pants... Came home... built a nice cold box/mini greenhouse from old recycled wood windows ...very happy with results ...just need to put top on it tomorrow ... Wore self out lifting windows and LARGE HEAVY glass doors... Warmed up left over soup for dinner Showered off stinky sweat and sore shoulders... scrubbed one puppy squeaky clean... Put clothes in laundry ... Now time to put ice on busted foot and shoulders. ... then curl up with clean pup... poor Willy will have to wait till tomorrow for his bath... |
